Slide motors are 12v DC (as far as I know)
Without a battery, the only 12v you have is coming from the converter.
If the slide motor doesn't draw any more than the capacity of the converter, then it will work. Otherwise it seems you are good for blowing a 12v fuse, or frying the converter.
I would not do it no matter what?
