I think I have directions somewhere for you all for how to test a panel. But, if my eyes deceive me not, the sticker shown in the ad says the panels were made in 2004. Even assuming 80% output, the price is not terrible. But should I even look at panels that old?
Batteries, I am aware that a car battery tester is not what I want for deep cycle. I did have an old 12v heating element, length calibrated to a 25amp draw, for testing. It broke, so is now shorter. But I think I can put my ammeter on it and see what it now draws? And then time how long it takes the batteries to get down to 12v, yes?
Would this controller be suitable?
I like the idea of getting a whole setup for not a lot of $$, but y'all gotta tell me if I am being too cheap :B.
