That's still not the 117 watts that it seems to me 1 amp should be, but at least it is closer.
Almot's $800 freezer in the link above is also 1 amp, 75 watt, and much larger.
Edgestar in the link draws max 1 A @120V, this equals to max 10A @12V. With inverter by-passed, it draws 5.5A max DC current, 1.8 minimum.
This is 75W freezer, not 120W. It draws more watts AC because it is a DC fridge, conversion from AC is unnecessary loss.
1.8-5.5A are normal numbers for DC fridge/freezer of this size.
Your smaller 65W freezer is also Edgestar and I "suspect" that 5-5.5A would be maximum DC current if run in DC-only. Can it be run off 12V directly?
