Stupid battery and solar questions
I figure I am going to have a lot of them, so I better put all in one thread :B. My situation: - I mainly want solar for running residential freezer and fridge, maybe also for charging my shave ...

Landy, how is your battery held under the van? Did you custom-make a bracket?
All I can find for group 31 is the torklift hidden power suggested upthread, but it is $200 x 2, more than the batteries cost.
Plus, I don't understand how am I supposed to get at the batteries. Lift that 200lb box down and back up again? Cut a giant hatch in my van floor? Put batteries on the bracket on their sides? I think I'd need a metal plate to support them.... and the mother of all ratchet straps.
Suggestions welcome. The other place I could put them is under the bed, but that is behind the rear axle, so is suboptimal. Easy to make a hatch in the bed, tho.
