Thanks - it appears that a metal disc (designed to heat and warp) provides circuit contact of the Timed Delay Relay Switch. Almost like a thermostat coil in a car, I guess.
I've just noticed something on the 'outside' of my Father's RV. He has removed a portion of the cover flange plate on the outside of RV, which houses the Air Intake and the Exhaust Output (he thought it originally was an access port or cleaning port). Now it is warped and will need replacing.
The reason I mention this is - since the back of the furnace is now open to the outside and ambient temperatures, and it falls below 40*F at night - is it feasible that the reason the only time the furnace system fails to ignite is around the 3am and 4am hour each evening, and because the frigid outside air is likely collecting into the furnace enclosure from the outside and therefore the Time Delay Relay Switch metal disc is failing to heat correctly due to ambient temperature being too cold?
Or would the disc just take longer to heat in that scenario, defeating my theory and adding only seconds longe in the end to the ignition process?
