Mine also have all those wires,but you don't stretch out the wires any,just bend the mirror down a bit as if you are adjusting it, when installing then re position it afterward.
The clamp goes over the mirror mount arm and fits around the wires on the arm. I also was concerned about that but it worked out OK on my RV and My Yukon and on a friends smaller car with a lot more wires on the arm.
