I use one for my cel phone with the GPS navigator. I no longer use the windshield, but the door window. I wipe the suction cup with saliva and it stays for weeks with no problem. I also make sure both the suction cup and the glass are completely clean firsthand. The power cord reaches the cig lighter socket no problem and doesn't obstruct the windshield.
