The PT30C offers better protection than its little brother - the SSP30 - but for 2 1/2 time the cost. The more pricier surge protectors EMS-PT30C protect against higher levels (Joules and Amps) and does things like over/under voltage, open neutral, and reverse polarity protection, automatic reset, etc.
The Progressive Industries EMS-PT30C offer better protection than the SSP30.
