What you're conveniently neglecting to mention is that your beloved autoformer will do nothing to protect your likewise beloved A/C if the power goes off then comes back on again shortly thereafter, as in 30" later - a case in which an EMS
will protect the A/C by delaying power restoration until
after A/C compressor head pressure has dropped to a safe level. Subject your A/C to this abuse enough times and you'll be buying a new one - let's see you love your autoformer then. :W
