The microair unit takes care of short cycling.
The EMS units cuts the power and creates the need for short cycling protection. In my opinion 103.5 is too low for the cut out voltage, so you will be the one replacing the air conditioner, not me.

What you're conveniently neglecting to mention is that your beloved autoformer will do nothing to protect your likewise beloved A/C if the power goes off then comes back on again shortly thereafter, as in 30" later - a case in which an EMS will protect the A/C by delaying power restoration until after A/C compressor head pressure has dropped to a safe level. Subject your A/C to this abuse enough times and you'll be buying a new one - let's see you love your autoformer then. :W
