Yes, it can run at 100 amps, but like Piano, I often see spikes at 150-175 amps for brief periods, so that might be a concern. The price for a 300 amp hr unit is $2300 which seems a little too good to be true - what other things should I look for? I’d be tempted to pick up 2 for a total of 600 amp hrs.
The rope handles on the boxes make it look like a surplus ammo can was used to house the cells and whatever else is inside. They repeatedly use "Typical" in their description of some of the specs, which might imply some significant performance irregularities. Not saying they aren't an interesting option at that price. 300Ah for C$2710.87 (I added 13% HST) is a good number per amp hour, if they last over 3000 cycles, like the website says.
I don't think there's any built in BMS, or other protection, based on their "Battery Care" statement.
"Battery Care:
Charge using only compatible charging systems
Store at around %50 charge in cool dry conditions
Do not mix with other battery technologies directly
Always charge at above freezing temperatures, unless configured properly
Never over charge, over discharge or over load your cells
Ensure they are used within the proper operating temperature range"
Sounds like they require more precise care and feeding by the user, than some of the other options out there.
