Just curious did you look into any 12 volt fridges. They use a fraction of the power. You also can buy 12 volt conversion kits for the existing fridge. I have thought about doing the same. I put a regular residential fridge in my 5th wheel and disabled the defrost. I found that on a three day trip to the lake the defrost not running had created a big problem. There was a ton of ice and it had compromised the cooling of the fridge. I think in this case the constant opening and closing when loading the fridge in the humid air had caused a excessive icing. I reinstalled the defrost timer due to the problems it caused being deleted. JMHO
