Nothing is really 'wrong'. You just need one cable going directly from the sat antenna to the receiver box. You can try reworking your current interior cables to try and get rid of any splitters, but many just run a new cable.

My real question was how do you run one cable from the sat antenna to the receiver without going through an open door or window?
