Tank Monitor Panel

I've tried searching this on the airstream forums, but no luck, thought maybe you guys had some ideas. Recently I dropped the fresh water tank on my AS, and I cut the wire, which resembles a lamp cord, 2 strand, there are only 2 sensors on the tank, taped it and marked lt so when I reassembled it, I couldn't possibly screw it up. LOL. So, I guess you already know, I spliced it back together, and now the E stays illuminated all the time. When I press the level check nothing happens on all the tanks, but the battery level works fine, the E stays on all the time. How could I have screwed up this simple procedure???

  • The wires are definitely not reversed. Only 2 sensors, one about 1/4 mark, one about 3/4 mark, both covered by what looks like foil, running from top of tank to bottom. Its an older unit, 1990, new as far as airstreams go. Lol. I was really careful to not disturb anything also.
  • Reversed the wires? Get the manual, call AS etc. How does 2 wires identify 2 sensors? Are you sure it was only 2 wires and not some not so obvious extra wires? Extra ground wire somewhere? Just suggestions.
