The black tank washer has worked well since new (2011). Today it would not; it seemed like no water went into the tank when I connected a hose to it and turned on the water. I could see the hose pressure up, but there was no sound of the tank spray head running nor any sound of running water at all. I turned off the spigot, and the hose had quite a bit of pressure when I disconnected it from the tank washer, so I do not think that there is a leak in the tank washer line. The hose input has always been closed with a plastic plug and there is a screen that is part of the washer so it does not seem like the tank washer plumbing could have been plugged with dirt somehow.The only cause I can think of is a faulty vacuum breaker. Agree or other thoughts?

Blocked back flow preventer. Look to see if it is part of the sprayer or separate unit.

I believe that you are headed in the right direction. I have a different brand of trailer but mine developed the same problem. The vacuum valve was okay but there was a one way check valve right next to it that was stuck. I took it apart and cleaned it and it has been fine since.

You can check the vacuum breaker because it's easiest to get to, but I'd bet on the spray nozzle. You need to access the top of the black tank furthest from the drain. Unscrew the nozzle, take it off the wash line and clean out the xzqp with a toothpick. THROW AWAY THE TOOTHPICK! (LOL). We had to do it 60 days after we got the new coach. Never had an issue before (100,000+ mi) or since (25,000 mi). XZQP happens!!!

It was warm enough to work on my trailer today. My vacuum breaker/check valve was working. So I have a stopped up washer nozzle. Here is a picure which shows the nozzle (from an earlier time I had the bottom coroplast open). Can anyone tell me how the nozzle is attached, how to remove it to clean it out, and how to seal it up when re-attaching it? You can see it on the side of the tank, attached to 1/2 inch pex, on the left hand side of the picture near the black tank drain valve.Thanks.

That looks like a Camco Quickie Flush installed there. If so, the sprayer is screwed on with 3 screws and I think silicone caulk as the sealant.

No one can say what you will find but you will once you get in there. Based upon the photo, it's not going to be much fun no matter what's holding it in place.
I am just telling you what I would do as I believe that you will find that you cannot access the inside of the flusher and poking something in the holes will not bring anything that's inside outside.

Do you mean that I should not try to clean the nozzle? That I would be better off to by a new replacement nozzle and install the new one instead?

What type of sealant- butyl tape, proflex caulk, silicone caulk, peppermint chewing gum?

It's most likely caulked and screwed in place. You will need to remove the caulk to see what's behind but I suspect you will find 3 screws. There will also be some sealant between the tank and the sprayer. You can usually get something like a spatula between the tank and sprayer to cut that. I would remove it an replace it as there is likely crud inside you cannot access but you will know more once you have it out.
