Well the 'hunt' is on for a Hall Effect amp-hour counter.
Again the frustrations of the generator purchase are 'in my face' If I had redone the solar instead of buying the lump of plastic and steel, I would be able to rely on the solar extending the life of my bank.
If I were part time--the solar I have would be more than adequate to keep the bank in tip top shape.
