Well on the truly big screen jobs you might be right (They make 'em so big they won't even FIT in an RV these days
But many of the less than 40" jobs run off a power brick The power brick is a 12-14 volt power supply (Converter) sometimes more (or less) but generally 12-14 volts depending on the model.
SO the A/C TV is a 12 volt DC Box.
There may. however. be advantages to running off the power brick. It's called Ground Loop interference and common mode issues.. But that's above a simple forum post.
(I notice it with a Radio. attached to a computer. I feed the Comp off the 12 volt side of life all sorts of radio noise (Radio eats 12 volt) but running off the power brick no problems.)
