Though I do admit several thousand farads of capicator would be nice.. They tend to have high internal leakage and that kind of limits their worth for long-term power storage.
Of course, I know more than one person working on a TV that had been unpluged for over 3 days who got 'Bit' by the high voltage cap in the TV.. (Folks that circuit is not big on current, but it can be several thousand volts).
I'll second that, happened to me many times back in the 60's when I was a radio TV repairman.. Of course I learned from each experience. Yeah they do bite.
