I love my country, but I understand the need to be home.

Especially when injured and ill -- the instinct to hide in one's own cave is overwhelming, in my experience.

Sympathy for another person's love of their own adopted home is not unpatriotic.

Who drives there in the night? I saw what happens to the front half of the car after hitting a 1,0000 pound cow. Cows don't care who you are, and unmarked topez won't magically disappear either. $US25 hotel room might seem like a lot - with local wages, but it's well worth it.

Either start driving earlier, or don't drive in the dark, if you can't see. More people's lives depend on it, possibly some loose cattle or what ever else that is wild life that roams the countryside there.

They must line the walls of the ICU to kill cell phone signal. The laptop got a great signal down in the waiting lobby. Big window, a McDonald's next door and me with my 2-watt Alfa booster and 12 db whip antenna.
