All the high efficiency panels I looked at a year ago were available only for either residential or commercial installations and not individually through retail outlets. Even with my house I had to buy the Sun Power panels that this manufacture allows its residential dealers to buy and install and could not use the panels that this company considers to be suitable only for commercial installations.
It is a waste of time to look at panels and then try to buy them. One should look at the sites that are selling individual panels and then look for the ones with the highest output that will fit on the roof of your RV.
Only trailers are going to have lots of bare roof area available for mounting residential size panels in the 30x60 inch sizes. The Kyocera 140 Watt panels are so popular in large part due to their narrow 26.3 inch width.
If anything on the roof sticks up say 8 inches then the panel needs to be at least 8 inches away to not be shaded. Do the measurements and the math and the options in terms of panels shortens dramatically.
