I can find tons of excuses for not needing a large inverter...

But then I can run a generator anytime I want. Many of you cannot.

Brings up a question (not a statement)...

What brand(s) of inverter utilize SEARCH MODE where the inverter is consuming a tiny amount of power awaiting a load then turn itself on? This would *seem* to obsolete any operational argument against the big inverter guys and gals.
