Both Handy Bob and Greg Holder told me it's not a bad thing to have a small inverter for light loads and a bigger inverter for heavier loads.
This also can be necessary for technical reasons as mentioned by people, ex. 110V compressor fridge on separate inverter.
Consider that Handy Bob doesn't use a generator but does use a MW and other substantial 110V devices, living in his trailer permanently. Hence, conserving even a few AH is worthwhile to him. Though, with today's low prices on solar panels it's easy enough to double the solar wattage that he has - 300 something watt tilted, as I recall.
I don't use a generator either. So, there is no +150A charger that would fill those few AH in a matter of minutes. But I'm not worried about numbers less than 5 AH because my solar exceeds my energy needs 8 or 9 days out of 10. Batteries go into Float before or around noon, it wouldn't be a game changer if they did it later, at 12.30 or 1.00 because of inefficient or less efficient layout of inverters. Though with a single big inverter I would try and remember shutting it off whenever possible, because it's easy to waste more than 10 AH a day on idling with some of them, and wasting that much would make me uncomfortable.
Nothing beats being on grid power :)
