Now that I think about it, that 0.5 amps "idle" may not all be inverter as such. In past tests I remember the 7355 power centre itself draws power even when there is no load on any circuit. ISTR it was about 0.1 amp on the Trimetric from inverter for each circuit breaker that is on. I flipped breakers one at a time and they add up by 0.1 each (not counting the main which was always on for that test) I got the notion that it is the GFCI receptacle on the circuit that draws power even with nothing plugged in. Can't confirm now.
So that 0.5a could be just mostly from that as an actual 120v load on the inverter (shore power plugged into it for whole house) and not from actual "idle draw."
I would need to do more testing to get that all straight. Sorry for any confusion. :(
