Hi,
Another issues is that folks with large inverters tend to run all the outlets. That means additional parasitic loads from the microwave and any other devices that are in standby mode.
The small inverter is a possible way around that. I often use the 300 watt msw to power the laptop, and run an electric heating pad. If someday I find a a psw 300 watt at a great price, I'll probably retire what I have.
I do carry a 1000 watt psw Canadian Tire inverter as a back up to the Magnum, but it has never been out of the box.
