To simplify (I think):
Does it take less battey power to run a 19V DC TV off an inverter or to power it off a 12V to 19V DC-DC converter brick?
P.S. and BTW, I'm not sure that all flat panel TVs use ~19V DC for internal power. Maybe some of them are ~12V DC internally ... which means in this case that one could just power them direcly off an RV's 12V DC receptacle.
