There are exceptions to everything. Few here have a 48 kWh battery bank. Or (including the Deutz) 920 amperes @ 28 volts charging capacity. I try and direct my comments to the overwhelming PERCENTAGE of readers of this forum. This is not a 100% AGAINST Argument. It is a comment about appropriate utilization of SPECIALIZED technology. And biased because of the cost of choosing expensive limited value technology on a whimsical note. Extensive off grid use in a larger size rig can indeed justify lithium batteries. It can not will not and does not justify blanket recommendation for more than a small meaning single percentage digit number of weekend boondockers. May you live to enjoy RV'ing into your eighties. Most folks give up RV'ing in their seventies. Early seventies. I've been at this too many years to be convinced otherwise.
Lithium batteries would be appropriate for a few RV'ers. You are included in the few. My intention here in NOT to dissuade people from considering lithium batteries. The intent is to encourage them to THINK and to correctly weigh attributes personalized to their actual BENEFIT.
Enthusiasm can easily lead to the Pied Piper Syndrome
The PPS is common among RVers. Thinking before leaping is more productive.
