The Generator-Line Enclosure Exhaust System

Has anyone used the Generator-Line Enclosure Exhaust System to create an Venturi type stack?

The EUX2 at $179.00 seems a little pricy for what you get, but the concept looks interesting.

I run my my Honda 2000 in its mount, per photo below. I can't say I have ever smelled or set off my CO detector, but it is possible. With the EUX2 or using the concept, it would be easy to run the exhaust above the roof. I might get a little noise reduction. It would be easy to attach and take down. For my use, I could leave it attached, unless I wanted to take the Honda off the rack.

I have looked at the GenTuri. It could be adapted, but I think for the Honda 2000 the EUX2 (or concept) would be much easier to adapt. mikestock made a nice Venturi type stack on the Portable Generator / Exhaust Vent? Thread.

What are your thoughts?

You are putting a 4 inch (on a 2k) or 5 inch (on a 3k) pipe for the exhaust and cooling air. I don't see enough backpressure to be meaningful.

That's just going to exhaust a very short distance and it's sideways not up. I don't see that being a real benefit. and at $179? I can buy flex pipe for a few dollars at the hardware store.
Not to mention I did NOT see an air flow opening where it attaches. That will cause back pressure on your gen.Gen-turi has a patented air flow design. And is NOT hot to the touch. Important for anyone around the pipe.

The Gen-turi comes with several adapters. Putting the exhaust up and above the RV makes a big difference.

You may not smell your exhaust now. I didn't either but I had a lot of headaches that I wrote off to all the activity at the dry camping sporting events I was attending. Which actually was from the exhaust from my gen going under the RV. And we all know the underside is most certainly not hole proof.

I finally got the Gen-turi and WHAT a DIFFERENCE! You really don't notice how much exhaust 'does' come into your RV until you get one.
