The Lead Acid Carbon Battery Explained (A Link)

The USN is perhaps the most experienced user, and developer of FLA batteries that will ever be. They literally wrote the book on battery maintenance and failure analysis. I remember Exide, housing am engineering crew on Mare Island in the mid 1950's. My dad explained, that compared to the compliment that was there in WW II, what I saw was a skeleton crew. From what I have seen come out of India, the made in USA batteries for today's submarines are better yet. 380 volts is nothing to fool with :)
