- pnicholsExplorer IIThose prices aren't too bad. I was just skinned around $180 for a single non-LED ... but apparently "exotic tecnology from another planet" ... bulb for one of our sedan's low beam front headlights. I hope it lasts 13 years like the original one did.
A lot of the designer stuff on, or available for, today's autos is getting out of hand. i.e. How about a wireless connection scheme and an app that allows you to check your vehicles' fault codes on your Smartphone? :R - MEXICOWANDERERExplorerSo Solly try and convince a light bulb of toaster some amp hours are more equal than others...
- JiminDenverExplorer IIAt this price I am sure it's not a issue. ;)
Somewhere along the line I remember hearing that bulbs like these were not intended for extended use. A back up bulb is designed to be on seconds normally and may over heat if left on. - AlmotExplorer IIINote that these are for car exterior - not for home, cabin, trailer etc.
I think this - from the item description - summarizes their marketing strategy:
"VLEDS has what you need to keep your car or truck looking stylish while keeping it safe".
The last part is obviously intended for brain-dead segment of customers - I can't understand why a car would not be "safe" with any other kind of lights.
As to the looking stylish - logic doesn't apply here, and there is no upper limit when it comes to cost. Some people spend thousands on this.
So, with all due respect, Mex - this is not a "Lithium Battery of LED Bulbs" - the former has at least "some" proven advantages. Looks more like red carpet / white gloves sales attempt. - TrackrigExplorer II

I see nothing in the description to justify the cost. They're clearly taking advantage of people who feel a high price tag equals a quality product.
I think that's why a lot of people by Michelin tires. Sorry for sidetracking the thread, but..........
Bill - GordonThreeExplorerAt that price, I'd expect someone from the retailer to provide free "white-glove" delivery of the bulbs, which would include installation.

From the title I thought we would see LED's that catch on fire. ;-)
X2 - NinerBikesExplorerI think my odds are better in Las Vegas.
- aguablancoExplorerIs that an installed price?
RichH - AlmotExplorer IIISo far I don't see anything wrong with my $2.50 LEDs bought last year, and my wallet likes it :)
Whatever they mean by "surpassing all other on the market" - in that link - with mere 5 or 10 AH that few dome lights in my trailer draw daily, I'm not concerned about efficiency either.
