I am having the same problem with my CC2. It was displaying a "E1" code for zone 2. I removed all power and it recognized zone 2. I went away and when I came back, "E1" again and the AC was off. Later, it did the same thing with zone 1. I removed power again and it found zone 1. Still no zone 2. I finally did a reset per the manual and now zone 2 is nowhere to be found on it. Not sure how to even get it to look for it.

The units both run (when recognized), so I think it might be the thermostat. What does anyone else think?

Is there a residential model with multiple zones that can be used to replace the piece of trash Dometic?

Odds are 99 percent it is the OEM INSTALL of the system. There is nothing wrong with the Dometic controls. Usually it is the COMM cables that the OEM make and install. You need to check the COMM cable connections. You do NOT know how and what you are doing but you trash Dometic. I never understand that. NO, there is no other Tstat control system you can use with this type control system. Doug

Apparently, Doug, you have had better luck with cheap RV equipment. These companies make **** (I didn't put stars here either) in the name of keeping things light. The whole RV, and every one I have owned, have been the same from multiple companies. So, thank you for your answer. I am going by a dealer now to talk to them. BTW, I just removed the thermostat off the wall and the plug, that had been glued to the back of it, fell off of it. Not sure if that's my problem or not, but I am starting with a new thermostat. Good day.

Well, it is OBVIOUS you have not researched who I am. I have 37 years and STILL working on RV systems as a RV professional. I probably have MORE experience on the Dometic CCC systems than anyone at Dometic except for 1 Guy at Dometic that has as much time and experience as I have. Go ahead, throw money and parts at it. Just do NOT take advice from someone that has a lot more knowledge than you. Doug

PS. the plug is a phone type modular plug. NO GLUE. It clips in just like a phone connection.

Let me make this easy for you- I unclipped it from the wall and the ENTIRE plug came off the green circuit board. Understand? The phone cord was still clipped to it. I went to the dealer and their ac guy told me to replace the thermostat as that is 99% of the time the problem he has seen, especially as easy as it fell apart. Next step is to take it in- an hour away- to troubleshoot the ac unit control boards (if that's what you experts call them...). I'm not an idiot, just not going to pay someone $100/hr to tell me I need a thermostat because it fell apart.

And by the way, I've OBVIOUSLY overlooked who you are. I'm soo sorry. Can you forgive me? I'm in Maryland if you want to come look at it, but it's quite a drive for me to just take it in for troubleshooting.
