How do you know if your thermostat needs to be replaced? Our furnace ignites when we push the reset and sometimes with the thermostat..

If the furnace doesn't start when the temperature drops below what the thermostat is set at, then the thermostat is suspect. Of course, there could be other causes, loose connections or a problem with the furnace for example.
