Hello,I need to ask the experts on here a question about thermostats in travel trailers?I would like to upgrade my thermostat, and was wondering can I buy any thermostat to replace mine?Or do I have to get a certain one, or you cannot change out the thermostat in a trailer, only replace what you have now?My trailer is a 2019 "30amp"!I thank you in advance Kirkturk

It depends on what sort of air conditioner/thermostat interface you have. Some are more or less the same as standard thermostats and you can use most any battery-powered digital thermostat. Others are tied to one or a few specific RV thermostats.If this is just for heat, and no AC, you can use practically any (non-smart) thermostat.

Need a picture, model number, something to determine exactly what thermostat you have.

That is caused by continued PUSHING the buttons. It flattens out the foam pads and renders the CT useless. Dometic has a kit that replaces the outer shell to make the Tstat work. Doug

Really not looking for an upgrade, I nor anybody else could get that thing to work right. When I try to rise or lower temp I had to wait till it went dark then hit the button to rise or lower. But I never could get it to rise or lower by touching the buttons.
When I had service done on it, the guy had the same problem.

That's the CT Dometic and you have to use that tstat. no other will work. In case you don't know, the CT stands for capacitance TOUCH. That means you operated it like a smart phone. You do not PUSH the buttons. You just have to gently touch like a smart phone screen. Doug

The pics for the Op's trailer show a Dometic quick dump ceiling panel. With a WALL Tstat. Cannot see the model of the Dometic tstat, but if the OP does have a Dometic AC, then he HAS to use the Dometic Tstat. Doug
