- Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIThermistor placement varies between Norcold & Dometic
Norcold......standard placement is on 2nd fin from right/mid position
Domectic.....standard placement is on far right fin/mid position
If temp is non-adjustable (no temp control on upper panel) then moving thermister can make slight adjustments in food section temperature.(6*-8*F)
Move thermister UP on fin for cooler temps
Move thermister DOWN on fin for less cooler temps - MNtundraRetNavigatorThe refrigerator defaults to "always on" when the thermistor has trouble reading the temperature. Sometimes from wind, sudden changes in outside temperature, or ice or other contaminants on the fin where the probe is connected.
The probe has a wire on it and slides on to the far right fin inside on the refrigerator. First shut off the refrigerator. Then slide the probe towards you to remove from the fin, and clean the fin were it was attached. Re-attach the probe to the fin. Turn refrigerator back on and it should reset and start working again. - BFL13Explorer IIRead your fridge manual. You might be on "back -up" mode or whatever they call it where the temperature control has broken and that mode comes on to save your food temporarily. ISTR you can tell if that is the case by pushing some button or other and lights flash? Read the manual.
