A/C freezing up is a sign of loss of feron.
And when all the Freon is gone, the Evap then freezes up solid:B Freeze up "can" be an indicator of loss of coolant. BUT RARELY. They only hold 16 ozs of coolant. If there is a leak, the coolant loss is such that freeze up is almost impossible as the loss is a break in the sealed system and will continue to lose that small amount of coolant to stop any cooling at all. IF you have a wall tstat, your RV roof AC has a Freeze sensor. The Sensor will STOP any possible freeze up for any reason. As long as the freeze sensor is installed to spec. You can install the freeze sensor into the evap coils about 2 inches up from the bottom about 6 inches in from either side. Doug
