I wouldn't know or care what brand of tote it was, I'll never own one again. :( I made that mistake once back when we owned a popup with a shower but after I realized what a PITA any wheeled tote is to deal with I sold it to another unsuspecting RVr, put the proceeds to a FloJet waste macerator, and now always service my tanks at home. To each his/her own. :B
If your tanks are full and you still have a week or two worth of dry camping to go, not sure how replacing your tote with a macerator is going to help. Unless, of course, you like to dry camp next to your house.
However, a macerator AND a tote is a powerful combination. Simply leave the tote in the bed of the truck the entire time you're dry camping and let the macerator do all the work. That resolves any noise or towing hassles.
SoundGuy, I could be mistaken, but I believe you previously mentioned that you use 7 gal. aquatainers in lieu of a tote? If so, this requires you to turn the macerator off and on to move the end of the output hose from container to container. Granted, it can be done this way, but . . . the spill and stink factor goes up dramatically for some. No such issues with a tote. The macerator's output hose remains tightly threaded/sealed to the tote (at least on a Barker) for the entire operation.
Agree, to each their own.
