Tire to Wheel well clearance

I don't know why that line repeated. I've posted on other sites before but this one is giving me fits.

More info on post. Trailer not near to max. wt. Only 10,000 mi. or less so I don't think springs are flattened. Possibly only assembled to minimum clearance at build. Tires have hit top of wheel well,probably only on big bumps. CRE3000 unit. Someone mentioned bigger equalizer, more info on that please. Talked with Dexter tech today, he advised against a spacer between axle and spring. Will question about longer shackles. Thanks, more suggestions welcomed.

He discusses clearance, but I suspect he's looking at a 1" lift. Maybe to level the ride? I don't know. But one way to lift 1" is longer shackles.

Spacer block will be pretty expensive as new U-bolts would be needed and they ain't cheap!

I gained that much by going to a different (taller) equalizer. Very cheap and easy change!

Why is the clearance so tight? If it's overloaded, making more clearance doesn't fix the real problem.

Probably a new spring pack is in order and go up a few hundred pound rating.

It's possible that your springs are sagging and need to be replaced. As the springs fatigue they flatten out and that would explain your lack of clearance.

You don't give any details so it's hard to say. The more details the better advice you'll get.
