Tire UV Protection

If you don't spray tire protectant on your tires, the tires will be shot by the time they are 15 years old. ;)

Never covered a truck or RV tire and never a tire problem. Always in Sunny and many times HOT weather.

Ok, I'll be the odd man out, I think 303 is a great product.

The only thing I can see that tire covers do is keep the local cats from peeing on them and corroding the rims....lol

X2. If you're going to be stationary for a while, and you're really concerned about UV protection on south facing tires, hard covers are the only/best option. The rest of the "miracle" elixirs are mostly snake oil. Don't waste your money, unless you can afford to waste it.

Tires that get used move and flex which helps to get some of the rubber UV protection in tact. Tires that sit around for long periods need UV protection. Wheel covers are a great idea.

303 protectant works. I have used it on canoes and rafts for years.

I had a nice horse trailer years ago with two axles. I did not worry about UV protection much because I used the trailer pretty often. One day I hears a loud bang and one of the tires exploded. I shutter to think what might have happened with critters in the trailer at highway speed.

I don't use anything on my tires except covers. They are 5 years old and wearing fine.
