Question

What's up with the HH 3500, full of water, rusted gear box, one friggin' year old. I just today after reading around found this a common problem simple to prevent just add cover and O ring on top cap. Still under factory paper so I can get it fixed however besides being a bit ticked that dealer did not bother to mention this little fact, so measures could be taken does anybody have better unit they would recommend, I can do the work. Thanks for letting me rant!

I have the same jack. Mine came with a cover &amp; I use it. I also use a plastic waste basket inverted over the top of it during long term storage. My chains, 7-pin &amp; brake-away cable go up inside the basket &amp; hook on to eyelets inside.

I for years used a Costco dish washing soap bucket. over time I missed placed it and they don't have them at the Costco any more so I bought a plastic bucket and the kids use it for making sand castles. it pulls double duty.

I did the same with a bucket in the olden days in SoCal when it used to rain.
