Most Philips screwdrivers will cam out of most Japanese screws. This has nothing to do with the quality of the fastener or the quality of the tool. They do this because the Japanese screws are not Philips. They are JIS: Japanese Industrial Standard. Buy a JIS screwdriver and you'll no longer have issues with not being able to loosen most screws.
