i'm looking at these



LED Headlights

to replace our headlights
we have four on the Safari
i'm thinking one pair to start, replace the high beams

Few problems I see with that Octane product...

#1 There's no such thing as an HID LED ... High Intensity Discharge is a gas / arc discharge technology and has nothing to do with light emitting diodes

#2 Another post for the same product (Octane) claims 50,000 hour lifetime. Cree makes no such claim for their white led products.

#3 There is hardly enough heatsink to adequately deal with the heat from 45 watts of LEDs - either the wattage is wrong or the product will be short lived. Wattage was specified in the more detailed Octane post.

BTW Check out DHGATE.com for a better price.

Ref head lights.
They may not be street legal.
I did not see then advertise any DOT of
NHSA acceptance codes.
