- Chris_BryantExplorer IIThat is pretty remarkable. In a few short years we’ve gone from tiny cars having a~100 mile range to this.

Why?
You’re just going to exchange them again in 175 miles..... :) - valhalla360Navigator

My F150 gets maybe 175 miles range and seems to work just fine.
OK Tesla you need to hop from supercharger to supercharger but still very possible.
Not going to work for everyone or every trailer but if it works for a few people I find that to be wonderful.
In the future Tesla or Rivian pick-up should provide more range.
You only get 175mile range towing a small 3800lb trailer at 55mph?
Something doesn't sound right. - azrvingExplorer50% longer travel time?

If there were ample numbers of conveniently located battery-change stations where an automated process could switch out batteries in 5 minutes, electric vehicles would be much more viable. - rexlionExplorerIf there were ample numbers of conveniently located battery-change stations where an automated process could switch out batteries in 5 minutes, electric vehicles would be much more viable.

It's going to work for very, very few. It will work, kinda, as long as you stick to interstates and have lots of time. They said themselves that it added about 50% more time to their travels. And you can fill that truck and be back on the road in a few minutes. They had to plan their stops so they could eat and not just be sitting around waiting for the car to charge. Not to mention they had to unhook the trailer many times in order to recharge the car. - My F150 gets maybe 175 miles range and seems to work just fine.
