it sounds like a common fuel pump problem. The impeller swells from lack of use. I can only repeat what others have done as I exercise mine as a prevention. They disconnect the power to the pump. Take the small bolts/screws out of the pump and remove the impeller. They sand down the sides of the impeller where it rubs the casing. Reassemble and it works.. Others just replace the impeller with a new one.
All is excellent advice but if you are a lucky person you may get away with just loosening the screws of the pump, tap the works to jog the impeller loose and retightening the screws. This worked for me. If you're not lucky, go to plan A...Good luck.. :)
