Thanks for the input everyone.
Seems that TST is the popular one, according to the posts here.
And Don, I travel at 110K under ideal conditions, slower if it is raining or there is traffic.
That 110K is based on our Hwy 1, no wind and little traffic.
The challenge with stopping every hour is that I could have a catastrophic failure like I have experienced before in between those one hour stops. I have had it happen twice, once totaling my Prowler. And I don't like to stop every hour. I enjoy the windshield time and frequently go 3-4 hours between stops. I like it that way.
I do check my tires every time I stop, not always with a gauge, but a switch boot to the sidewall and a hand on the hub tells you a lot.
I really would feel better with the TPMS there to notify me if I have a sudden loss of pressure.
I had a dually tire on my truck go flat on me twice at highway speeds and I never noticed until the next stop when I checked them.
