So I bought the 507 for my 32ft 5th wheel. Install went well.With the rig hooked to the truck and the slides out, I get signals from all four tires with the receiver sitting in the middle of my F250 Crew Cab dash. Moving it to the corner of the dash where it isn't obstructed by the pillar and without anyone in the seat, I lose the furthest sensor but the other 3 are fine. I expect a suction cup mount up by the mirror will improve reception, but haven't tried yet to verify. Haven't tried it yet with the slides in since we are in the process of cleaning and packing the newly purchased rig.So would anyone care to hazard a guess as to how this will perform on the road? Seems like I'm probably close to maximum range. I don't mind buying the repeater, but figured I'd give it a shot without it to start with. Just curious what my odds are.

Yes you definitely need a repeater. The TST does not give a loss of signal for over one hour. Marginal systems may not have communication for 30 or more minutes a day you will never know there is a problem.

I have a 507 (since 2012) and a 32-foot fifth-wheel. My receiver sits in the middle of the dashboard and it has never had a problem with reception.

Thank you. I hoped it would work. The repeater isn't expensive, but I can spend that money on something more fun.

I'm pretty sure mine alarmed within just a few minutes of moving the display to where the signal on the far tire dropped.I can't be certain because I was playing with pressures just to see how the system worked.

I had the 507 on my 37' 5th wheel and had no issues without the repeater. Now I have them on my towed car behind my 38' motorhome and still no need for the repeater.

I had to add the repeater for my TST system. My TT is 37 ft. and I mounted the receiver under my radio in the truck. I tried one trip and found it kept losing the signal from any or all of the tires. It was not consistent. I added the booster in my front closet and have never lost the signal since adding it.

If it alarmed it was because it had been out of communication with the sensor for nearly an hour. The TST system simply has a terrible response time. A repeater should keep you from having to worry about it.

I had mine on the console and it would drop a tire now and again with my triple axle toyhauler. I moved it up to the dash and have had no more issues. It's a good unit minus the lousy response time.

I was having a reception problem and isolated it to interference from the garmin GPS receiver mounted a few inches away from the 507 receiver. I solved it by using the external antenna left over from my 510 system, mounted about 2 feet from the GPS receiver.
