I just bought a new tpms & the dirictions for the monitor are to have one wire(red) connect to a constant 12 volt & a white wire to iginition & black to gnd. it works fine with red & white to ignition...

Yet another parasitic battery drain to contend with.. My 2010 F150 doesn't do well at all when the battery gets disconnected and all of the must stay-on items loss DC power. The last time I had to disconnect the start battery for something the on-board computer for fuel control lost its settings and my truck started dying at stop signs... Had to keep foot on the gas pedal every time it stopped at one. The book said it would relearn the setting but didn't happen for me. I ended up having to take it back to Ford to put on the machine there to reset the settings at a min cost of $90... Needless to say I jumper in a second battery now when I have to disconnect the main truck start battery.
