Track screw cover material

My roof has a track on the side that holds the roof material in place. That track has a rubber like material which fits in the track in order to cover the screw heads.

The material just decided to give away on one side and fall out of place on the way home during the last trip. Just dangling there held on by the two retaining screws on either end.

Trying to find replacement material I've discovered there's quite a few. 1" is the common size but it comes in different material. The local place carries this very flexible poly type shinny material whereas whats on the trailer is very rubber like and dull in shade.

Is there an advantage to either one? Thanks.

  • I would use the one that matches, but I've only seen the glossy plastic. If there is something different, you should be able to find it online.

The plastic seems to shrink easily, so don't stretch fit it, if that is what you use.
