But for the moment, I'm a bit more concerned with everything *else*. Like not being able to start the generator without stripping any and all load. Kinda defeats the point of having remote start on the generator
no..not true
remote start is all about not having to go outside to start stop
and the Champion inverter with remote
shuts off power, before it shuts off the engine
and has a slight start delay, engine on, before power is on
but that doesn't change the 'load factor' in the RV
3100 will power the A/C, but it doesn't a have enough surge to start the A/C compressor which can be as much as 50 amps, when you already using 1/3 of its capacity before you even turn the a/c on
the LRA "lock rotor amps" for the A/C, on two previous RV's was around 54 amps
it is stamped on the info plate on the A/C compressor
its hard enough to get a double power surge out of a 26amp generator, with out doing with it a pre-existing 9amp load, making the total surge over 60amps
the genny started just find with out the A/C running
you did not give the batteries any charge time, to reduce load, first
even with a built in 5000w Onan
i will power the 75amp charger and A/C fans for a while before attempting to switch on the A/C cooling
