Trailer brake shoe wear

I'll be packing my trailer's wheel bearings, adjusting the brakes, and replacing the grease seals this weekend.
Anyone have an idea what the minimum thickness should be on the brake shoes?
I know they're nowhere near as thick as automotive brake shoes so I would guess the minimum suggested thickness wouldn't be that much.

  • And if lining is loose whether bonded or riveted then dump them no matter how thick! If riveted and cracks at a rivet then dump them.
  • Typical trailer electric brake shoes material is 3/16" (new) and replace when down to 1/16"

    Hairline heat cracks are normal
