Travel Trailer Shower Plumbing Question (Newbie)

Bought a used travel trailer (2002 Bantam Trail Lite) and now having a minor issue with the shower faucet. When I turn either one of the faucet knobs, water comes seeping out of the knobs (rather than traveling up through the hose and out of the showerhead.

I took apart the faucet, and found a cracked, black plastic "T" connector (not sure if this is what it is called...). This is the piece that connects the hot water to the cold water outputs to make warm water before it comes out of the faucet. Does anyone know how to extract this black piece?? I would like to get it out somehow, and bring it to Lowes to see if they have a comparable part.

I know this is in layman's terms; I'm not too knowledgeable on plumbing =)

Any help would be appreciated!

Sharon

  • Your not going to be able to replace just the T. You'll need to replace the whole faucet and since it's special to RV's (unlike the sink faucets), your going to have to get it from a RV parts store.
