TRC Surge Guard Model 34850 now TRASH ????

I have a TRC Surge Guard Model 34850 50 Amp Date Code 1616 (?). The Center female socket is showing major heat damage after camping for the week pugged into 50 amp service.

Cause ?

Is the surge guard Trash now?

Warranty ????

    Where did you get the new pigtail? I can not find a Female pigtail. I am looking at purchasing a few feet of 6/4 cable and adding a female socket.
